Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a physical shop?

Little Miss is an online shop with no physical shop. Each item is made by hand, by Magda, upon receiving an order. Magda is based in Big Bay, Bloubergstrand in Cape Town. Due to the customized and hand-made nature of our dresses, we do not stock any of the items in bulk.

What is your refund policy?

Regrettably, returns are not possible, due to the customised nature of each order. Each dress is hand-made to order and measurements. We do not keep bulk stock as personal measurements  can differ from my standard measurements chart. If there is a  mistake on our side, we will  correct it. To make sure that your order fits, the correct measurements should be taken and communicated if it differs from our measurement chart. We are happy to help if you get stuck!

How do I know if the dress will fit?

This is easy to avoid by checking our measurements chart or supplying us with your exact measurements. Unfortunately, we do not do alterations. Some styles are available in different colours. Others are only available in one colour way only. Most of our white dresses can easily be paired with a sash or waistband and flower detail in your colour scheme. Do get in touch if this is an option you would like to discuss.

How do I care for my Little Miss items?

The dresses are carefully packed however may become crumpled within the transporting process. Carefully comb your fingers through the tulle to loosen and separate each of the tulle layers. This will help to straighten out the tulle if it is twisted, knotted or crumpled.

Washing instructions:
Tulle is delicate and easily damaged.

What to do:
The best washing method for your tulle is to spot clean the dirty areas with soap and cold water. If you do need to wash the entire dress, here is how to do it:

  1. Gently hand wash your tulle dress in cold water with a mild detergent for five to 10 minutes, taking care to not stretch or tear the material in the process.
  2. Let the dress soak for an additional 10 to 20 minutes.
  3. Rinse it thoroughly, comb your fingers through each layer of tulle to separate the layers again.
  4. Flatten out the dress on a flat surface on a towel to let all excess water drain
  5. Hang the dress on a clothes hanger, and let it dry indoors. This will assist with a wrinkle-free tulle dress once it is dry, it will also help the tulle to dry straight.

What not to do:

  • Do not wash your tulle dress in the washing machine.
  • Do not put your tulle dress in the dryer, this drying process will rip and destroy the tulle.

Taking Out Wrinkles:
Tulle does not like heat. Do not iron tulle. You can try a hand-held steamer but ensure it’s at a very low setting.
You can also try steam from your shower. Steam up the bathroom well and comb your fingers through the tulle to separate the layers and detangle. This should help de-wrinkle the tulle. You can also dip the tulle skirt into cold water and then hang up the dress to dry indoors. Detangle the tulle with your fingers if required and then allow the weight of the wet tulle de-wrinkle the tulle as it drip-dries.
