How do your sizes work?

The sizes I cater to are mainly for 0 – 8 years. Sizes are divided into age groups (e.g 1-2yr / 7-8yr). To ensure a perfect fit you can check which age group corresponds closest to your girl's measurements. The correct size to choose will be the Shoulder to Ankle length.

To place your order online, you will need to know which age group to pick when checking out. Visit the Measurements page for detailed information. Be sure to get in touch if you get stuck!

How do your prices work?

TheThe price for each dress and size is different due to the difference in the amount of fabric used for each size. A 1–2-yr-old dress is made with less fabric than a 2–3-yr-old and so on. To view the price for your dress size, click on the dress you like and scroll down to the dropdown button 'please select'. Here you can select your size and then view the size-specific price of that particular dress.

No, we only have an online shop ( I am based in Big Bay, Bloubergstrand in Cape Town. It is possible to arrange a pick up, but only by appointment. I do not stock any of the dresses in bulk, as each item is hand-made upon receiving the order.

How do I get my order?

We send our precious parcels throughout South Africa via courier. For more information visit our general shipping information page. We do not send to a PO box. You will need to ensure that someone will be able to receive and sign for the parcel when it arrives at your place of delivery.

What if the dress does not fit?

This is easy to avoid by checking our measurements chart or supplying us with your exact measurements. Unfortunately, we do not do alterations. Please check the size chart with detailed measurements to make sure you order the correct size.
Regrettably, returns are not possible, only if the mistake is on our side, therefore please assure the correct measurements are communicated if it differs from our measurement chart.

Can you customise colour schemes?

Some styles are available in different colours. You can see this when you click on a dress, where more images/colours will appear. Others are only available in one colour way only. One of our dresses in white (e.g. Tinkerbelle, Fiona, Petal) can easily be paired with a sash or waistband and flower detail in your colour scheme. Do get in touch if this is an option you would like to discuss.

Will my order look exactly like the picture?

All Little Miss dresses are handmade by Magda. Therefore, do allow for slight variations in shades of colours, or lace patterns and applique which may vary according to availability and due to the hand-crafted nature of the items.

How do I care for my Little Miss items?

The dresses are carefully packed however may become crumpled within the transporting process. Carefully comb your fingers through the tulle to loosen and separate each of the tulle layers. This will help to straighten out the tulle if it is twisted, knotted or crumpled.

Washing instructions:

Tulle is delicate and easily damaged.

What to do:

The best washing method for your tulle is to spot clean the dirty areas with soap and cold water. If you do need to wash the entire dress, here is how to do it:

  1. Gently hand wash your tulle dress in cold water with a mild detergent for five to 10 minutes, taking care to not stretch or tear the material in the process.
  2. Let the dress soak for an additional 10 to 20 minutes.
  3. Rinse it thoroughly, comb your fingers through each layer of tulle to separate the layers again.
  4. Flatten out the dress on a flat surface on a towel to let all excess water drain
  5. Hang the dress on a clothes hanger, and let it dry indoors. This will assist with a wrinkle-free tulle dress once it is dry, it will also help the tulle to dry straight.

What not to do:
• Do not wash your tulle dress in the washing machine.
• Do not put your tulle dress in the dryer, this drying process will rip and destroy the tulle.

Taking Out Wrinkles:
Tulle does not like heat. Do not (ever) iron tulle. You can try a hand-held steamer but ensure it’s at a very low setting.
You can also try steam from your shower. Steam up the bathroom well and comb your fingers through the tulle to separate the layers and detangle. This should help de-wrinkle the tulle. You can also dip the tulle skirt into cold water and then hang up the dress to dry indoors. Detangle the tulle with your fingers if required and then allow the weight of the wet tulle de-wrinkle the tulle as it drip-dries.
